The smoke detector is mounted by screwing or gluing it to the base (ceiling), preferably in the middle of the room. Never mount it in the corners of the room or close to the heating or air conditioning outlets. The detector is battery-operated and does not need to be connected to another power source. The detector can be connected to another detector to obtain a complete fire system. However, this is not a condition for operation and installation.
