INGCO S-AC-CR-AC20248-SP7 Air Compressor-Connecting Rod

The S-AC-CR-AC20248-SP7 Connecting Rod is associated with Air Compressor which boasts the following features:

  1. Voltage: Operates at 220-240V~50Hz.
  2. Input Power: Equipped with a 1.5 kW (2 HP) motor.
  3. Tank Capacity: The air compressor has a 24L (6.3Gal) tank, providing ample air storage for various pneumatic tasks.
  4. Noise Level: Runs at a noise level of 96db, which is relatively quiet compared to typical air compressors.
  5. Motor Type: Utilizes an aluminium wire motor.
  6. Lubrication: The pump is lubricated with oil.
  7. Speed: Operates at a no-load speed of 2850rpm.
  8. Pressure: Supports a maximum operating pressure of 8 bar.
  9. Packaging: Comes securely packed in a carton box.
  1. Purpose and Function:
    • The connecting rod serves as a crucial link between the piston and the crankshaft.
    • It converts the linear motion of the piston into the rotary motion of the crankshaft.
    • The small end of the connecting rod connects to the piston pin, while the big end attaches to the crankpin.
  2. Design and Material:
    • The connecting rod typically has an I-beam cross-section and is commonly made of forged steel.
    • Some connecting rods are also crafted from aluminum alloy.
    • To maintain engine balance, connecting rods are precisely matched in sets of similar weight.
    • Lighter connecting rods and pistons result in more power and reduced vibration due to lower reciprocating weight.
  3. Parts of a Connecting Rod:
    • Small End: The end that connects to the face of the piston pin.
    • Big End: The end that attaches to the side of the crankpin.
    • Bush Bearing: Both ends of the connecting rod are fixed with a bush bearing. A phosphor bronze bush is fitted with the solid eye attached to the small end, while the big end is attached to the crankpin.
    • Bearing Insert: In the big end, a bearing insert is connected to the bearing cap. These inserts fit together on the crankshaft.
    • Bolt and Nut: After fitting the connecting rod with the crank, both sides of the big end are secured with bolts and nuts.
    • Shank: The section beam connecting the rod and bearing cap.
    • Wrist Pin: A hollow hardened steel tube that connects the engine piston to the connecting rod.
