Description
INGCO MX218008-SP-1-A Mixer- Right Rabble/ Paddle
The MX218008-SP-1-A Mixer- Righr Rabble/ Paddle is a type of industrial agitator used for mixing large volumes of paint. It’s designed for efficient mixing and homogenization of paint components, ensuring consistent color, viscosity, and overall quality.
Components:
- Shaft: A central metal rod that connects the motor to the mixing element.
- Motor: Provides the power to rotate the shaft and mixing paddle.
- Right Rabble/Paddle: The key mixing element. It’s a flat, wide blade attached to the bottom of the shaft. The “right” designation refers to the direction of the paddle’s rotation, typically in a clockwise direction from the top-down view.
- Tank: The container that holds the paint being mixed. It can be a cylindrical vessel made of metal or plastic, with a large enough opening to accommodate the mixer.
How it Works:
- The motor powers the rotation of the shaft.
- The right rabble/paddle spins within the paint, creating a shearing force. This force breaks up clumps, distributes pigments evenly, and incorporates additives throughout the paint.
- The clockwise rotation (when viewed from above) pushes the paint downwards along the tank wall and then inwards towards the center. This creates a circulatory motion within the paint, ensuring thorough mixing.
Applications:
- Mixing large batches of paint (industrial, architectural, automotive)
- Dispersing pigments and additives uniformly
- Suspending solids to prevent settling
- Maintaining consistent paint viscosity
- Re-homogenizing separated paint components
Advantages:
- Efficient mixing for large volumes
- Simple design for easy maintenance and cleaning
- Suitable for various paint types
Disadvantages:
- May not be ideal for delicate materials that require gentle mixing
- Not suitable for very viscous paints due to the pushing action
- May require adjustments based on tank size and paint volume
Additional Notes:
- Some right rabble/paddles may have angled blades for enhanced mixing action.
- Variable speed motors allow for adjusting the mixing intensity for different paint types.
- Some models may be equipped with scraping blades to ensure complete mixing at the tank bottom.
